Ingredients
For the Soup:

4 cups of your favorite soup (tomato, chicken noodle, broccoli cheddar, or vegetable)

2 cups broth (if making homemade)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or thyme for garnish
For the Sandwich:

4 slices of bread (sourdough, whole wheat, or your favorite type)

2–4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella)

Optional fillings: deli turkey, ham, avocado, tomato slices, mustard/mayo

1–2 tablespoons butter for grilling
Instructions

Heat the soup in a pot until simmering, adjusting seasoning as needed.

Assemble sandwiches with cheese and optional fillings between unbuttered sides of bread.

Butter the outside of each sandwich slice.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.

Serve soup in bowls alongside the sandwiches. Garnish soup and sandwiches as desired.
