Ingredients

  • 4 ripe mangoes (about 3 cups mango puree)

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat until sugar dissolves to make simple syrup. Let cool.

  2. Peel and chop mangoes; blend into a smooth puree.

  3. Add lime juice and salt to mango puree; blend again.

  4. Mix in the cooled simple syrup; chill mixture for 1 hour.

  5. Churn in an ice cream maker for 20-25 minutes or freeze and stir every 30 minutes until smooth.

  6. Serve garnished with fresh mint or mango slices.
