For the Chicken and Sauce

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

For the Veggies and Bowl

  • 2 cups steamed broccoli florets

  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • 1 cup cooked brown rice or quinoa (optional)

  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Toss chicken with flour, salt, and pepper until coated evenly.

  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. In a small saucepan, warm honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar until combined.

  4. Return chicken to skillet, pour sauce over, and toss to coat. Cook 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Assemble bowls with steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, and rice or quinoa. Top with sauced chicken.

  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
