Description

These Frozen Banana Bites are a healthy and easy snack. Creamy banana slices dipped in chocolate and frozen make a naturally sweet treat that is perfect for kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

  • 2 tablespoons nut butter, optional

  • Toppings like chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or cacao nibs, optional


Instructions

  • Peel the bananas and cut them into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Optional step: spread a small amount of nut butter on one slice and top with another slice to make a sandwich.

  • Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  • Dip each banana slice or sandwich into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip off.

  • Add toppings if desired.

  • Place the chocolate-covered bananas on the prepared tray and freeze for 1 to 2 hours until firm.

 

  • Serve directly from the freezer.
