Description

This classic Divinity candy recipe is light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth sweet. Perfect for holidays, gifts, or a nostalgic treat, it is easy to make with just a few simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 2 large egg whites, room temperature

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

  • Bring the mixture to 250°F (soft-ball stage) using a candy thermometer.

  • Beat egg whites and salt in a large bowl until soft peaks form.

  • Slowly pour the hot sugar syrup into the egg whites while beating on low speed.

  • Increase mixer speed to high and whip until stiff peaks form and mixture loses its shine, about 7–10 minutes.

  • Fold in vanilla and nuts, if using.

 

  • Drop spoonfuls of candy onto the prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely at room temperature.
