Ingredients

  • 8 ounces high-quality chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional dippers: strawberries, banana slices, marshmallows, pound cake cubes, pretzels, apple slices


Instructions

  • Chop the chocolate finely and place it in a heatproof bowl.

  • Heat the heavy cream gently in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, removing just before it boils.

  • Pour the warm cream over the chopped chocolate. Let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.

  • Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.

  • Transfer the fondue to a serving bowl or fondue pot and arrange your favorite dippers around it.
